If the Sun, Venus and Mercury were shown on this diagram, we'd need to draw in about ten 'movement circles' for each celestial body... for all three gravel at least ten times around the zodiac in a decade.
The Moon, which goes round the zodiac once a month, would need approximately 124 circles! Mars, which takes about two years to complete one cycle of the sky, would need five and a bit.
Astrologers make their major long term predictions though, only on the basis of the slow moving planets. It may not look as if they are covering much ground but in seeking significant dates, we are looking for the alignments these planets will form to each other.
