National Milk Chocolate Day
It's National Milk Chocolate Day in the US; but wherever we are in the world, we can take a moment to indulge ourselves. The link between retrograde Mercury and Venus, planet of love and pleasure, brings a flirtatious flavour to the cosmic climate - and in these challenging times, we need to make a conscious effort to bring some fun into our lives. The planets are encouraging us to remember past ways of making ourselves happy. And if that involves a sugary treat, why not?!

Life can be a Grand Adventure
'It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.' Since these words were spoken by Bilbo Baggins, who loved an adventure, the inference is that although stepping out of our comfort zones is scary, the potential is exciting. JR Tolkien's great work, Lord of the Rings, was published today in 1954. And we can all take a leaf out of his book and look ahead with anticipation.

Captain Cooks's Voyage to Venus
When Captain Cook set out on his first expedition aboard The Endeavour, his mission was to observe the transit of Venus across the Sun - which could only be viewed in the Southern Hemisphere. He set sail on this day in 1768, and returned home 3 years later after having circumnavigated the globe. As Venus prepares to move into home-loving Cancer we don't have to embark on dramatic adventures to experience the planet of love's effects. By appreciating what we've got, we'll find joy.

The planet of Love and Luxury
The planet of love and luxury is moving into home-loving Cancer today. But you don't have to live in a palace or a fancy neighbourhood to love where you're living. It's about being in a place where you can escape from worldly challenges, relax, and appreciate the items you treasure and the people you care for. Venus' residency in this sensitive sign enhances our appreciation of what's good about our lives. The more we value what we have, the more we'll find to enjoy.

Delicious Days?
Egyptian Astrologers considered 24 days of the year to be unlucky. In the Middle Ages, these days were known as 'Dismal Days', and today is one of them. Eek! They were considered to be times to avoid undertaking important activities. So, can we use this bygone notion as an excuse to put our feet up and avoid dealing with anything challenging? Why not! With Venus in Cancer, we can find lots to enjoy in the mundane. This weekend, meeting our own needs should be easy.
