PREVIOUS THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY April 21 2025 to April 27 2025 Monday April 21 Easter Eggs in the White House It's Easter Monday, and on Capitol Hill, they're celebrating with The White House Easter Egg Roll. Apparently, egg-rolling on this particular hill was once so popular that the grounds were damaged and the practice was banned. But in 1878, the President issued an order that allowed any kids at the White House to roll their eggs. This annual custom is so well-attended that hopeful participants have to enter a lottery to get a place! The Sun/Mars link encourages us all to have fun, easter egg-rolling... or not! Tuesday April 22 Annual celebration of the Earth Earth Day is an annual celebration that raises awareness of the problems faced by our planet. Rather perfectly, it takes place soon after the Sun, our source of light and warmth, moves into earthy Taurus. As well as reminding us to reduce, reuse, and recycle, it acknowledges the achievements of the environmental movement. Of course, we've all got our part to play. And with the Sun moving to link with Pluto (tomorrow), if we want to instigate change, we've got cosmic support. Wednesday April 23 The Courage you need to conquer your fears It's St George's day. Although famous for his dragon-slaying skills, it seems more likely that George was a Roman soldier (not a knight in shining armour). And despite the fact that he's the patron saint of England, he never once set foot there! It was his reputation as a virtuous, holy character who personified Christian chivalry which inspired several countries to adopt him as their patron saint.
