PREVIOUS THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

February 17 2020 to February 23 2020

Monday February 17

Mercury Retrograde?

More Sally Fisher Art here.

With Mercury turning retrograde, miscommunication and mixed messages are more likely to occur. So I can only assume my lack of Valentine's cards was due to them being lost in the post (and nothing to do with my resemblance to a latter-day Henry VIII)! Did I also mention that Mercury retrograde may make us leap to false conclusions. Even if we find ourselves in the wrong today, we can't irritably shout, 'Off with their heads'! Insight is just the first step to fixing our problems.

Treading Carefully

More Sally Fisher Art here.

As Mercury slips backwards to revisit a tricky alignment with Saturn tomorrow, it's important not to get defensive. The Sun's imminent move into Pisces, coupled with the coming Jupiter-Neptune link, is making us all more sensitive. And with Mars now settled into Capricorn, we may be a little over keen to prove our worth and gain higher status. It's all-too-easy to feel that we're not being given enough respect. But, as long as we tread carefully, we can undo some wrongs by making good decisions.

Mr Blue Sky

A few years ago the corporate catchphrase was 'blue-sky thinking'. It was supposed to inspire a free imagination and generate exciting alternatives, even if they seemed fanciful. Today, I'm tempted to compare the ancient gods Jupiter and Neptune to middle management. Their coming alignment encourages us to explore horizons that may once have seemed a journey too far. Yet, Jupiter suggests that pragmatic engagement with an ambitious vision may prove a wise way forward.

Light Relief

More Sally Fisher Art here.

The first of 2020's three Jupiter-Neptune connections arrives today. In a year dominated by powerful alignments between Saturn and Pluto, this brings some light relief, gentle encouragement and an opportunity for some fun; especially because this weekend, creative Venus links with adventurous Jupiter. With Mercury still retrograde, we need to make sure that we make appropriate jokes... we don't want enthusiasm to overrule common sense. But, if we tread lightly now, we can go far.

We Shall Overcome

While Jupiter and Neptune's alignment is still headline news, there are other exciting developments vying for the front page. Mars and Uranus provide the energy to break through a barrier. Their presence emboldens our attempts to harness the vitality of the coming New Moon. So, although retrograde Mercury's sharp reconnection with Pluto suggests hidden problems will surface this weekend, there's enough encouragement from the cosmos to ensure we overcome any issues.

Saturday February 22

Your Weekly Horoscope

More Sally Fisher Art here.

Sometimes it feels hard to change direction or let go of situations, especially when we're still dealing with the repercussions of what went wrong. Although Mercury's backward motion always encourages us to deal with past mistakes, with the New Moon's encouragement, we're also having our eyes and hearts opened to potential breakthroughs. Our emotional reserves run deeper than any of us realise; and it's by learning from a troubled past that we'll be able to rise above it this week.

Sunday February 23

The New Moon and Love Focus

More Sally Fisher Art here.

With the New Moon's encouragement, we're having our eyes and hearts opened to potential breakthroughs. Our emotional reserves run deeper than any of us realise; and it's by learning from a troubled past that we'll be able to rise above it this week.

Remember, Today's Love Forecasts do not just cover romance. A love forecast may also have something to say about your family life, your closest friendships and even some of your most important working relationships.
