PREVIOUS THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

March 4 2019 to March 10 2019

Monday March 4

Mix and Match

This week brings some of 2019's - and 2018's - most important astrological activity. It marks the moment when Uranus finally leaves Aries, a transition it began last May. Yet, like most of us when we change accommodation, it needed more than one trip to get everything in place. Now that the move is finalised, the planet of change can settle into its new home. Areas that have been crying out for alteration won't be stuck for much longer. Any disruptions are part of the delightful progress of mixing and matching the old with the new.

Being Needy

Uranus' move into a new sign is creating a similar dynamic to the change we all experience when we move home. As any new resident knows, it takes a while to get used to a space, and it's easy to lose track of things as we rummage through boxes in search of a much-needed item. With Mercury turning retrograde today, we need to take extra care over ordinary tasks. The more we can consider our own needs, as well as those of other people, the more quickly we'll feel comfortable in this new space.

Wednesday March 6

New Worlds of Possibility

Today's the day of Uranus' big move. And I mean BIG - hardly any other planet takes longer to traverse the zodiac. The Moon, for example, doesn't bat an eyelid at changing signs. Uranus though, will remain in Taurus for the next six years. Today's convergence of the Sun and the Moon around Neptune is a show of support from an empathetic cosmos. The New Moon encourages us to work with the unorthodox visions that Uranus encourages. We can begin to imagine an exciting future as we awaken into new worlds of possibility.

Thursday March 7

The Age of Aquarius

Hi Oscar,
I thought we'd entered the Age of Aquarius, but so far this century seems anything but what we'd been told to expect. What's happening? John

Hi John, Experts disagree on whether the Age of Aquarius has begun, is about to begin or won't start for hundreds of years! But regardless, we can't expect instant utopia. Though the world remains divided, and real challenges lie ahead, we can be proud of how far we've come. We're a young species: our baby steps are headed in the right direction. Oscar

The Long Game

As Uranus now settles into Taurus, we'll see fluctuations in our values and our sense of what really matters. There will be times when change feels unwelcome. Indeed, the sharp alignment of Venus with Jupiter today suggests the onset of 'growing pains'. But these side-effects are natural and necessary as we develop into a new way of being, behaving and believing. The Sun's link to Saturn, and Mars' relationship with Neptune this weekend, encourage us to play the long game and keep an eye on the prize.

Your Week Ahead

With Uranus finally settling into Taurus, it feels as if we've all moved into a celestial new home and are waiting to see how the furniture is going to fit. This week's Sun-Mercury connection, with both planets making exciting links to adventurous Jupiter, ensures that there's plenty to do to keep us busy and on the look out for new opportunities. Even though the route to pursuing a dream might need recalibrating, Mars, Saturn and Neptune provide the determination to find a new and successful path towards progress.
